This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use Amaniva.
At registration: email, username, password (hashed — we never store passwords in plain text). During use: the audio/video/text content you upload for processing, and the transcript/summary results generated from it.
The original audio/video file you upload is deleted from our servers immediately after processing — we keep no copy. This means we can't let you play back the original file after you leave that session, and we can't reprocess it with different options without you uploading it again.
Content you upload is sent to OpenAI (our AI model provider) to perform transcription/summarization. This transfer is required for the service to function. We do not sell or share your data with any other third party beyond this purpose.
Transcript/summary results (not the original file) are stored in our database so you can review your job history, until you delete that job yourself from "My Jobs".
We don't use tracking cookies. Your login token (JWT) is kept in your browser's localStorage to maintain your session.
Passwords are one-way hashed before storage. The connection between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. That said, no system is 100% secure.
You can view, download, and delete any of your jobs at any time through the web interface. To request deletion of your entire account and associated personal data, please contact support@amaniva.com — self-serve account deletion isn't available in the interface yet.
The service isn't intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
